Picture a baseball game where a fan who catches a foul ball gets the batter out. Now picture a runner trying to steal first base. That is Banana Ball, and Banana Ball Disney World 2027 is officially on the calendar for April 15-18. The catch? The ticket lottery closes on Halloween night, so the clock is ticking.

When Is Banana Ball at Disney World in 2027?
Banana Ball is coming back to Disney World from April 15-18, 2027. It is the second year in a row for the event.
Here is the quick version:
- Dates: April 15-18, 2027
- Location: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World
- Ticket lottery deadline: 11:50 p.m. EST on October 31
The dates came out during the Banana Ball City Selection Show, which aired live on ESPN2 and the Banana Ball YouTube channel. That show also revealed the stops for the rest of the 2027 world tour.
Planning a trip around those dates? Take a look at my Walt Disney World crowd calendars to see what drives the busy days at the parks.
What Is Banana Ball?
If you are new to this, no worries. Think of it as baseball with the volume turned up.
The Rules That Make It Different
The games are packed with plays and extras that keep everyone paying attention. A few examples:
- If a fan catches a foul ball, it counts as an out.
- A player can try to steal first base.
Those two alone tell you this is not your grandpa’s ballgame. It is built for laughs and energy, so you do not need to know a thing about baseball to have a good time.
Which Teams Are Playing at Disney World?
Last year, the tour featured the Savannah Bananas, the Firefighters, the Party Animals, the Loco Beach Coconuts, the Indianapolis Clowns, and the Texas Tailgaters. The tour stopped at big ballparks like Yankee Stadium, Wrigley Field, and Angel Stadium. Disney World’s stop wrapped up with the Party Animals taking on the Loco Beach Coconuts.
Next season, all six teams will be at Disney World. Four of them will compete in the Banana Ball Open.
Where Is the Game? Inside ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
The games happen at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which covers more than 260 acres at Walt Disney World. The top four teams in the league face off inside The Stadium.
Here is what The Stadium offers:
- More than 9,500 seats
- Four luxury sky boxes
- Open-air suites
If you want something different from the theme parks, this is a fun way to mix up your trip. Sports weekends are a whole thing at Disney World, and my beginner’s guide to runDisney race weekends covers another one.
How to Get Banana Ball Tickets at Disney World
Here is the problem. You cannot just hop online and buy a seat. Tickets run through a lottery, and joining it does not guarantee you a chance to buy.
Here is how it works:
- Head to BananaBall.com.
- Enter the Ticket Lottery List before it closes at 11:50 p.m. EST on Halloween night, October 31.
- Wait for the random drawing, which happens before the event.
- If your name is drawn, you will be contacted directly with your next steps.
Do not wait on this one. Set a reminder on your phone right now.
What Do Banana Ball Tickets Cost?

Can You Do Banana Ball on a Budget?
Yes, at least in part. Standard tickets start at $35, which makes this one of the easier add-ons to fit into a Disney trip budget.
You can also watch Banana Ball games for free on the team YouTube channels next season. That is a good way to see if your family will love it before you enter the lottery for the next one.
