Whatâs New for 2026
Disney has announced enhanced military-discount offers for U.S. military service members, veterans, and eligible family members for the 2026 calendar year. Key offers include:
- A âDisney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticketâ at Walt Disney World Resort for $499 plus tax, granting access to all four theme parks throughout 2026 (subject to block-out dates).
- The traditional Military Salute tickets: 4-, 5-, or 6-Day Park Hopper tickets starting around $449 plus tax for qualifying personnel. Valid Jan 1 â Dec 18, 2026, with blockout dates (March 29-April 11 & November 22-28).
- At Disneyland Resort, special 3-Day and 4-Day Park Hopper tickets (with or without Lightning Lane) for eligible military, plus a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket for $104 (adult) and $98 (child) valid through Dec 30, 2027 (no block-outs).
- At Disney Cruise Line, select 2026 sailings from Florida offer a $250 onboard credit per stateroom for eligible active/retired U.S. military personnel, plus special military rates on certain sailings.
Eligibility & Key Details
Who qualifies?
â Active duty, Reserve, Guard, retired service members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force) plus Commissioned Corps (PHS, NOAA) are clearly eligible.
â Spouses of eligible service members also qualify.
âDo DoD civilian employees (non-uniformed civilian employees of the Department of Defense) qualify for these Disney military ticket offers? The answer: Not for the core Military Salute ticket program at WDW/Disneylands. For example, the ticket policy (via Shades of Green) states that âEligible Service Members ⌠may be purchased by Eligible Service Members or their spouses âŚâ and DoD civilians are excluded from the âmilitary promotionalâ ticket eligibility.
â However, some âregular discounted ticketsâ (non-promotional) do extend to DoD civilians via Shades of Green and other base ticket offices. For example: âTheme Park Tickets may be purchased by Eligible Service Members ⌠and are also available to DoD Civilians and retirees, and Veteransâ
How to purchase & use
- Tickets must be purchased via participating military base ticket offices, Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR)/ITT, or authorized outlets. For WDW promotional tickets, the service member or spouse must buy, and one of the tickets in the batch must be used by the service member/spouse.
- Park reservations are required at WDW for these military tickets.
- Ticket Limits:Â Eligible service members or their spouses may purchase up to six (6) Promotional Tickets per offer year. One of those tickets must be used by the service member or spouse. Families with more than four dependent children listed in the DEERS system may qualify for an exception to this limit.
What This Means for You (and Especially DoD Civilians)
If youâre a DoD civilian employee (or your spouse is) and want to benefit:
- You cannot purchase the deep-discount âMilitary Saluteâ ticket program at WDW/Disneyland if youâre purely a civilian employee (non-uniformed). Disneyâs published eligibility excludes civilian employees for the promotional ticket program.
- You can check whether you are eligible for regular military-discounted tickets(non-promotional) via outlets such as Shades of Green, base ITT offices, which may include DoD civilian employees and retirees.
- If you are in uniformed service or a spouse of one, the new 2026 offers represent very good value â especially the unlimited-access âDisney Celebrates Americaâ ticket at $499 (for the year) and the multi-day Park Hopper tickets starting at $449.
Quick Comparison Table

My Take & Recommendation
- If you are a uniformed service member or spouse: The 2026 offers are excellent â the unlimited year ticket and multi-day options offer meaningful savings compared to standard pricing.
- If you are a DoD civilian or retiree and no uniformed service member is part of your group: You should investigate the base ticket office or Shades of Green for the âregular military-discountedâ tickets, but do not assume you qualify for the full âMilitary Saluteâ promotional tickets.
- Regardless of eligibility: Always confirm at your base ticket office, note blackout dates, purchase early (since youâll need to link tickets and make park reservations), and plan for additional costs (transportation, resort, food).
- For families larger than six, check exceptions with the ticket office.
Final Thoughts
The new 2026 Disney military discounts reinforce the value of planning carefully and knowing exactly what you qualify for. For eligible uniformed service members and spouses, the savings are significant. For DoD civilian employees and retirees, your benefit may exist â but under a different ticket category, so read the fine print and buy from authorized outlets.
If youâre eligible and planning for a Disney trip, this is a timely opportunity to lock in savings â but verify eligibility, buy early, and make your park reservations as soon as you link your tickets.
