Disney just dropped a wave of new details about the Encanto attraction headed to Animal Kingdom, and it sounds like Casita herself is about to become one of the most talked-about houses in Walt Disney World.
The reveal came straight from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, where Jared Bush — Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation Studios and the writer/director behind Encanto — took the stage to share what’s really coming to life inside the Madrigal family’s magical home. Here’s everything Disney confirmed.

The Attraction Finally Has a Name: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto
We now know the official name: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. The story centers on Antonio’s gift day, the moment he receives his own magical ability — talking to animals.
The heart of the ride ties right back to the movie’s message: everyone belongs in the familia, gifts or no gifts.
A few fun details worth noting:
- Voice actors Stephanie Beatriz (Mirabel), Jessica Darrow (Luisa), and Diane Guerrero (Isabella) are all lending their voices to the attraction.
- There is no height requirement, making this a true ride-for-everyone in your family, from toddlers to grandparents.
What the Ride Experience Will Actually Be Like
Here’s where it gets fun. Guests will step inside Casita and board ride vehicles designed to look like pieces of furniture — the same enchanted furniture that comes alive throughout the film. Disney describes these vehicles as reactive, moving and responding to the scenes around you almost like characters themselves.
The journey winds through the house and ends upstairs in Antonio’s room, which has been transformed into a full rainforest setting. More than 50 animal species are represented inside, including a capybara getting a little grooming session, plus a toucan and a donkey.
The Colombia Connection
This isn’t just artistic guesswork. Imagineers took a research trip to Colombia to study the colors, materials, and structures used in the region, and how climate and culture shaped them. Walt Disney Imagineering also partnered with Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment Team to make sure every animal featured is accurate to Colombia.
Meet El Carrusel de los Animalitos
Encanto isn’t the only headliner. Tropical Americas will also welcome El Carrusel de los Animalitos, a carousel featuring 22 hand-carved animal figures pulled from beloved Disney and Pixar stories. It’s a relaxing, family-friendly spin on a classic Disney attraction style, reimagined for Animal Kingdom.
What Else Is Coming to Tropical Americas?
Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto and the carousel are just two pieces of a much bigger new land. Tropical Americas, first announced at D23 in 2024, celebrates the myths and magic of the rainforest, and here’s what else guests can expect:
- Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent – an all-new adventure attraction for thrill-seekers.
- A large hacienda – set to be one of the biggest quick-service restaurants anywhere on Walt Disney World property (final menu details are still to come).
- Souvenir shopping throughout the land.
- A Maya-inspired play area where kids can dig up and discover artifacts through hands-on play.
So, When Can We Ride It?
